How it works

STEP 1

Get your QR code

Sent by email right after checkout.

STEP 2

Install before you fly

Scan it in Settings. Nothing is used yet.

STEP 3

Land in Taiwan

Turn on the line. Most plans start counting from the first connection.

Stopping in Hong Kong or Macau?

Some plans also cover Hong Kong, Macau and mainland China. Pick one that covers every stop and your eSIM switches network by itself when you land.

One eSIM, no swapping

Questions about Taiwan

Which network will I use?

Taiwan-only plans use Taiwan Mobile, or Chunghwa Telecom and Taiwan Mobile together on the dual-network plan. Both have 5G in Taipei, Taichung and Kaohsiung.

Will it work if I stop in Hong Kong?

Yes, if your plan covers it. Pick “Taiwan + Hong Kong + Macau + China” and it switches network by itself when you land. A Taiwan-only plan works in Taiwan only.

Do I need to verify my identity?

Only on the East & Southeast Asia plan — Taiwan requires a quick real-name check with your passport after install — you’ll get a text message with the link. Other plans don’t need it.

What country will my IP address be in?

It depends on the plan: Hong Kong, Singapore, Macau, Poland or UK. Apps and websites see you as connecting from there — that’s why ChatGPT or TikTok work on some plans and not others. Most eSIM stores don’t tell you this. Apps can still change their own rules, and local laws apply where you are.

When do my days start?

When you first connect in a covered destination — not when you buy or install. Install it the day before you fly.
