Depending on your plan you’ll connect to EE, O2, Vodafone or Three — the UK’s major carriers. Your device picks the strongest signal automatically.
Data only is the simplest and cheapest: your usual number stays on for calls and WhatsApp. Choose a UK number if you need a +44 number to receive calls or texts from UK services.
You can receive texts for free, but sending texts isn’t supported. Calls in and out within the UK and EU are included, up to the minutes in your plan.
It depends on the plan: Hong Kong, France, Germany, Poland or UK. Apps and websites see you as connecting from there — that’s why ChatGPT or TikTok work on some plans and not others. Most eSIM stores don’t tell you this. Apps can still change their own rules, and local laws apply where you are.
